How To Tour Japan Workshop For Independent Musicians

  • The Music Salon 49b Niven Road Singapore Singapore (map)

October 21st (Fri)
The Music Salon Singapore

Japan is not only about ramen and Uniqlo, for us musicians it means a melting pot of crazy and diverse expressions of music and loads of attractive performance venues and opportunity - or at least it looks like it! Whether you are in the mainstream scene or underground, most of us have once fantasized about making it 'big in Japan', being there performing for committed and frantic audience with nightly uchiage (after party/supper) - But how?

Come to this workshop specially facilitated by Aya Sekine, the pianist, improviser, jazzactivist, educator and a powerful advocate of 'going out of comfort zone' principle for artists.

She has invited 2 special guest panelist SAM2 (Shimokitazawa&Shibuya Yaneura, Mao Live, Summer Sonic) and Vivian Wang (The Observatory) to share and discuss together what it means, and what it takes to tour Japan.

A lot more detail and discount earlybird tickets are here :

40 limited tickets will come with onigiri and whisky.
